![]() Many of our students come in the level one classes squinting with one eye shut. One of the first things we work on is getting these folks to open both of their eyes. Running your gun with both eyes open affords you additional situational awareness and peripheral vision that is necessary in a fight. You wouldn't get in a fist fight and shut one of your eyes - right? Then don't do it with a defensive firearm! Threats trying to flank us is a reality in a gunfight. We train for reality, therefore it is imperative to have full peripheral vision. The Instructors from T3 and Cajun Arms try to bring in parallels to everyday life into class. Remember, this is how you should live your life: Keep both eyes open Be situationally aware Never offer the bad guy a blind side! Leave a Reply. |
